On Friday, May 1 at 7:30 pm, photographer/filmmaker Armin Linke will document, in a sound-&-vision performance, his ongoing archive of human activity in natural and man-made environments. Working with musicians Guiseppe Ielasi and Renato Rinaldi, the performance will explore scenes where the boundary between fiction and non-fiction blurs—or disappears entirely—as Linke brings to life the cultural and political dynamics of the ever-evolving urban landscape.

This is a multimedia experience that turns the interplay between sound and music into a unique visual-aural choreography.

Armin Linke was born in 1966 and currently lives in Milan. His extensive body of work, encompassing film, photography, performance and book publishing, has been featured at museums and galleries around the world, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the American Academy in Rome, the Cultural Transmission Center in Beijing, and many others.

Giuseppe Ielasi began playing guitar in 1988, and has worked for many years in the area of improvised music, including long-term collaborations with Renato Rinaldi in the duo Oreledingeur. His discography encompasses a wide variety of solo and collaborative work, and he is co-founder of the “Schoolmap Records” label.

Renato Renaldi has studied drama, composition, and electronic music. After a number of years working as an actor, he began composing music for theater pieces, radio plays and video installations. He has also produced radio plays, documentaries and reports for the national radio network.
